Excitement around the introduction of Salt Spring’s first major art prize and national show coming later this month has already reached the island, with a special exhibition of three local artists opening at The Point Gallery this Sunday, Sept. 13.
“For the inaugural month when Salt Spring National Art Prize is launched we wanted work that reflected an island viewpoint,” said curator Margaret Day.
“All three artists have inspired us by their talent, work ethic and energy. Over many years on Salt Spring their art has given us a uniquely visual sense of our world.”
